This place is super yummy my sons teacher told me about it. The pricing is pretty good . The service was great the pricing of the items is cheap. There is plenty of room to sit ambiance is alright.
Filling food and good value! I drive by this place literally every day, and finally decided to stop here. There are so many El Grullenses in Redwood City that it's hard to pick which one to eat at. The menu at this place is huge: I want to say there were around 50 pictures of different dishes pinned to the walls near the front counter. I kept it simple and ordered a super burrito with chicken and no beans. I only had to wait around 5 minutes before my food was ready, and I nearly did a double take once I saw the size of the burrito. I swear this thing weighed something like two pounds! The chicken was tender and a little smoky, the rice was hearty and warm, the cheese (queso fresco) was creamy, and the salsa provided a mild spicy flavor. I wasn't able to finish the whole burrito due to its size. You could easily split this with two people. I just wish the salsa was a little more evenly distributed, and towards the end of the burrito, it got greasy, but the quality you get is solid for the price (around $14.30 after tax). If you're in Redwood City and need some filling Mexican food, go to El Grullense Grill #1!
